Happy Birthday Kobe!

Our beloved Golden Retriever Kobe turned 6 today. Tyler and I planned a Scooby Doo party for him. Both of our dogs enjoyed some Frosty Paws Peanut Butter Ice Cream and the humans had chocolate cake and ice cream. Kobe's likes include anything edible (including toilet paper and Dewey's poop), any kind of attention, and chasing rabbits. His dislikes are thunderstorms, being alone, and seeing anyone sad. Kobe is a loyal companion. He has been with us through good times and bad. I look forward to many more birthdays to celebrate with our favorite retriever. Thank you buddy for being such a great dog!

Easter Morning?

This is the view from our deck on Easter morning. That's right, it's snowing. We couldn't believe it! Don't worry the easter bunny still found his way!

The Pampered Chef

It's official I'm a Pampered Chef Consultant. I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On Friday I received my starter kit and on Saturday I started my first catalog show (Thanks Sarah). My good friend from high school Jamie is my recruiter and inspiration. Thanks Jamie for all your guidance so far. I hope you don't get sick of me! If anyone wants to host a show let me know!

Grandma Marlys

On Saturday my Grandma Marlys died at the age of 79. She battled Alzheimers for the past nine years. She was always sewing or baking something. She made the best potato salad and molasses cookies. Grandma was an incredibly social, outgoing, and generous lady. She even made cookies and bears for her trash man. I believe she was trapped in her body the last few years. She is finally free and is probably in heaven baking some cookies.

A Trip to the Zoo

On Saturday we took a family trip to the zoo. It was the first day in a long time it was above 50 degrees so it was crowded! Every time we go Tyler gets more into the animals. I love our zoo because it's free!

Goodbye Diapers

Now that Tyler is officially starting preschool in August we started getting serious about potty training. He spent most of the weekend naked. He was doing so well running to the potty (only 2 accidents) I decided to let him try on some big boy underwear. He insisted on wearing them backwards so he could see Elmo. Potty Training for Dummies says not to mess with how they want to dress themselves so we just let him wear them backwards. I love it!
