I am a horrible dog mom. Dewey was so matted that the gromer had to shave him. Now it's freezing outside and he is cold all the time. He seem happier though. He's not the smartest dog. Actually he is a very bad dog. He poops and pees all over the floor and he has to sleep in our bed on our pillows. He kicks Roy in the head all night. Roy says he hates Dewey but I think deep down he really loves him. Everytime he runs away Roy is the one looking for him. I'm pretty sure Dewey's biological parents are brother and sister. Kobe (golden retriever) is a wonderful dog. He is overweight and stinky but we love him anyway. He was our kid before Tyler.

Poor Dewey

Super Suprise Fun Day
Tyler had an appointment with his allergy and asthma doctor at Childrens Hospital on Friday. We decided to make a day of it since it's so far away and we both have to take the day off when we have to go down there. A customer of mine works for Sesame Street Live so we scored 6th row seats to the show! Woo Hoo! In between the appointment and the show we went to the Science Center, the Auto Show, and Hooters. It was so much fun. Tyler was so good! He peed in public toilets (a first) and didn't really get crabby (no nap) until the very end. We were all exhausted at the end of the day. But I know it will be one of those days that we always remember.

One of Those Days
Today was one of those really annoying days. For starters it was like 18 degrees outside and I'm sick. I had the day off because of Martin Luther King Day. I usually use federal holidays as catch up days. So I made a grooming appointment for Dewey(our bichon) and made a Parents as Teachers Visit for Tyler. Between the two appointments I'm running around Wentzville in my sweats getting an oil change, pumping gas, and going to Walmart. Did I mention it was 18 degrees?!? So heres the really annoying part. Let me paint the picture. I pick Dewey up from Petsmart with Tyler who insists on walking instead of riding in the cart. Dewey is a terrible dog who does not listen and is always trying to run away and is now bald. I'm dragging Dewey through Petsmart trying to chase after Tyler who wants to look at birds or something when I feel resistance on the leash. That's right Dewey stopped to poop in the middle of Petsmart. Right after he poops he somehow gets his collar off and starts down the aisle. So I grab him and find one of those pick up your dog's mess stations and pick up Deweys mess. Of course as I dispose of the poop he decides to pee. That's when I realize I left me purse in the middle of the aisle. Then Tyler walks through the pee on the way to retrieve my purse. Anyway I get it all cleaned up and I go to the register to pay and Dewey gets out of his stupid collar again only to open the automatic doors. He didn't get out but I'm pretty sure everyone in the store was ready for us to leave. So that was about it. I feel better now! Time for bed the Nyquils kicking in!

"Mama, what's vacation mean?"
Well we survived our first family vacation. Tyler was very well behaved (at least for a 2 year old). He was even going potty on his big boy potty while we were there. We spent some time at the beach, went fishing, ate a lot of really great food! It was great! Thank you so much Aunt Kim, Uncle Mark, Becca, and Liz for letting us invade your house. Also thank you Aunt Melissa for being our tag along nanny.
Happy Birthday Hubby!
Roy is 31 today!!!! We celebrated by going to a Blues game(neither one of us likes hockey but the tickets were free and they were great seats). We also had a room at the Sheraton right across from the Scottrade Center. Thank you Roy for being such a wonderful husband and father! I love that you are so much older than me!
